AT&T launching mobile TV service, but who will watch?

http://techland.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2008/03/28/att-launching-mobile-tv-service-but-who-will-watch/

AT&T is going to launch mobile TV service on May. When introducing new product or service, the company should consider many aspects like people’s life style. The Analyst predicted that it is not going to work because many Americans do not use public transportation like subways where they could watch mobile TV in commuting. I wonder if the marketer of AT&T benchmarked Korea case which is not successful. Somehow I feel we Korea are advanced country in terms of new technology such as mobile TV.

Sprint has tried it, verizon has tried it in US. No one had hardly any success.
in Korea, real time TV service JUNE and FIMM, was provided even before implmentation of DMB, traffic broadcasting also, then DMB. However all that pretty much failed. what most people find was that the matter of contents. Most of contents are not really fitted to be mobile usage, rather sitting at home and watch relaxed. It's still hard to define and find out what people wants to watch through mobile. One of the only, if not the only mobile broadcasting service that was successful is unfortunately adult program ; ;

in my thinking, mobile TV business depends on how to transport, bus, train or driving by myself. most people in america drive in his car. is it possible to make a good business ?
