The Ministry of Knowledge Economy said on the 31st that it launched 31 national research projects, worth 70.6 billion won, in order to develop technology for the convergence between 5 key industries and IT.
The projects are aimed to further expand application of IT technologies, thereby enhancing the strength of key industries and explore IT-based new growth industries.
Ministry of Knowledge Economy , created by the recent integration of the Ministry of Information and communication and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, is in charge of nurturing IT industry and other key industries as well. The recent integration is expected to boost efficiency in harmonious development across the industries.
