Web 2.0 Reshaping Financial Industry

Though the term 'Web 2.0' has been with us quite a long time, at least several years, I didn't actually know that it referred to things like blogs, virtual communities (e.g. Second Life) and social networking sites (e.g. Facebook). Anyhow, today I read an interesting article about how Web 2.0 could be integrated with traditional industry like banking. According to the article, it will soon become a reality that you will lend or borrow money from your friends on Facebook or Cyworld. Traditional banks are trying to attract young customers who are spending significant amount of time in front of computer surfing social networking and virtual community sites. Meanwhile, such internet services are eager to advance into online bank industry to make profits from transaction fees. Enjoy the following article from the Korea Times.
