Google CEO: Helping Newspapers a 'Moral Imperative'

Sukgu's Comment - What is the end of Google's expansion? It looks like the company never stops creating new business model and expansion into the field related with internet. It is thought that internet is the best place to maximize the effect of economies of scale because there is not much additional cost to provide a little bit different service where gatherings are based on the frequency of exposures. It's always interesting to see somewhat different things are happening in the once percieved not prfitable dot com businesses.

Without providing specifics, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said DoubleClick's system for serving up online display ads could generate "significant" revenue online for newspapers. Still, he acknowledged the boost probably won't be enough to restore the hefty profit margins that newspaper publishers historically have enjoyed.
