Sukgu's Comment - Even though there will be plenty of benefits provided by this technology, the concept of this sounds horrible. Privacy has been one of hotly debating issues in the advent of technologies and regulatory environments that enable to monitor people's life. Thus, I think before using this kind of technology for the commercial purpose, relevant regulation has to be stronly enacted and enforced to insure that the technology will not be abused to detect people's identity.

S-OIL, a local refinery, launched a pilot service based on automatic identification technology at one of its gas stations in Seoul in April. It began to provide the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) service at the station in western Seoul. S-OIL said it is the first time that a local refiner has used the identification technology in service stations.

RFID has double-blades, i think.
That can help to develop a new field of business. On the other hand, that can be a tool of Big Brother.
