5 Worst Websites

http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1638344_1638341_1633628,00.html

Sukgu's Comment - This article picked the second life as one of worst websites because its' terrible functionality and characteristics. Some corporations' trial to use this as a meaningful tools of meetings are criticized as some CEO's trial to be hip. Because I haven't experienced this website, I cannot judge its' functionality. And, I agree with that this kind of website can generate some side-effects. However, from the business perspective, I think that many benefits can be generated from this website such as business conference, advertising, order-taking tools, marketing, and education, etc. But, at the same time, users of this website can be just a targeted people to whom the corporations boost their sales.
There are still many things have to be settled for the website to be properly working.

According to my experience in second life, I totally agree with the comments like ““ As on many sites, there's a learning curve for novices, but Second Life's is simply too steep. “ I tried to access and navigate into second life however the threshold is too high to be hip. I ask myself “Am I too old to use second life?” I think Second life should accept some valid points mentioned in this article unless they just want to build their own community with young people.

so fascinating article!!!
As it written, Second Life is for the old too difficult to learn or navigate if not familiar, special at first. But while we were accustomed with virtual space like Warcraft, Lineage, this interface is not difficult to click in the virtual world. And we should pick it up and understand as trend of web trends. Maybe my older colleagues in my company who are over 10 year older people than me don’t know to operate and use in the Cyworld which is implemented with SNS(social network service) as the concept of Web 2.0 in Korea. This is similar reason to operate this virtual space like Second Life. How about thinking this virtual space as a kind of new trend in the WWW(world wide web) world ?
