Sukgu's comment - In the classroom, the ways that people take the notes of what they listen to are taking various forms these days. Some people are taking notes on the paper by using pens. This is very classical way of writing. Some people are using their laptaps. In this case, they have to be very faster typewriter and need to have special software that enables writing on the hand-out files. However, new technology featured pen looks to have the good points of both methodologies.

As you can imagine, this is something of a Holy Grail for journalists, who run around with notepads and voice recorders. A classic problem for us is finding the right place in an audio recording without listening through the whole thing. The LiveScribe Pulse, which also records audio as you're writing, solves this problem.
