My Second Life Experience_part2

This is an interesting way to be introduced to a new space! I know I’m going a little bit over the top here, but after reading this, and knowing that when there are rules, it also means that there are people breaking them, well, quite frankly, I don’t feel an urge to create an avatar so that I could get into Second Life. It just seems to me that this is an odd place to be and I see it as a sort of disengagement and escapism from the reality. But I will come back to all of this. I’ve found some interesting articles related to this topic and I am amazed by all the crazy stuff written about the privacy, the policies and the behavioral guidelines in the Second Life support center.

I don't want to underestimate the people who are playing in the second life as just escaping from the reality. However, I totally against of side-effects that the website has generated such as having sexual relationship, childrens access, and drug dealing. I remember what our proffessor told us in the class. Regulations and laws always follow the technology, not preceding it.
