MDM market is growing fastly becuase there are many legacy systems exist in the a comapny with different attributes.
MDM system manages unique no and all the attributes used by many legacy systems with different purposes.
Many thinks that MDM usually deals with items, customer, supplier information etc.However, there could be other application area of MDM in other areas such as service, marketing , pricing, and financials.
For example, MDM system can manage all the attributes of Telecom company used in marketing for designing new service products, billing system for designing pricing policy.
Recently, financials accounting Hub, which is MDM for accounting information, is one of new MDM concept with related to IFRS etc.
I thinks there could be many more applications of MDM in other areas ..

I am sorry that I don't exactly understand what the contents mean.
What's the difference between mdm and company's general main server. Main server also can gives raw data and we can adapt this data to many areas.
